Be a Home Visit Volunteer
Home Visits are a quick and easy task but are one of the most important things we do as a rescue. Every potential home must pass a Home Visit to help ensure the hound is the right fit for the new family and the home environment will meet the needs of the hound. Home Visits are scheduled at the convenience of the volunteer and family. Honest, timely, and accurate reporting of the prospective home is a must. Guidelines will be provide to assist the volunteer.
Be a Transport Volunteer
We have need periodically for safe and effective transport of a dog from an intake location or vet to a foster home in another part of the state. Transport requests are created by the Transport Coordinator and presented to a volunteer who can drive a “leg” of the trip. All mileage is tax-deductible.
**Reliable transportation is a must.
